Found this baby in the warehouse. It will be the next tune up project. Now if i can find bindings to match the mounting pattern, I'll be able to rip it up retro style.

Poorly Edited Tune Up Video
Those pics in the previous post were a small glimpse of what I have been doing.
This video is a small edit I put together of doing a simple tune on my board during this past season. I basically sharpened my edges, ran the base over the belt grinder, filled any scratches with P-tex, re-ground it and ran a nice hot wax over the base. Usually I would stone-grind the base but there was still enough structure left after running over the belt.
I do not hot wax all snowboards that come through the back, though it does a better job. I will go in to more detail about the different machines and tune-up process in a later post.

Life in the Backshop
This is what my final workload of skis looks like. I have already done about 700 tune-ups.
This is the tune-up room. This is were I make your boards and skis brand new.
This is me living the dream. Summer edition.

An introduction.
Now that the season has been over for weeks and flip flops have replaced my snowboard boots, I've come across free time once again. With numerous hours wasted indoors due to weeks of rain, it was clear that I had to do something more productive than check the Facebook news feed and fling angry birds at a wall of pigs. This is the reason that Dreams in Snow was born.
My name is Liam O'Mara, I have been snowboarding for 12 years and working within the snow sports industry for the last 7. As the acting snowboard product manager and buyer for Potter Brothers Ski and Snowboard Shops, as well as a snowboard reviewer for SNOW EAST! Magazine, it is my job to keep up with what is going on in snowboarding. This includes attending events, heading to trade shows, testing products, and keeping the magazines open and videos rollin'.
Now that my friend's are sick of hearing about my passions and customers have stopped coming in for snowboard product, it was only natural that I turn to the internet. Hence the beginning of another blog in which most people will probably not care about.
If you want the latest on snowboard product, news and know-how, subscribe and pick my brain. I like the way it feels.
